Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining both relational and non-relational databases.


  • Write, test, and optimize SQL queries for database performance and data retrieval.


  • Collaborate with the development team to integrate databases into applications and services.


  • Develop stored procedures, triggers, views, and other database objects.


  • Monitor database performance and help resolve any issues or inefficiencies.


  • Assist in database backups, security, and data migration tasks.


  • Document database structures, processes, and workflows.


  • Learn and implement best practices in database design, normalization, and optimization.

Educational Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
  • Basic understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).


  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and database management.


  • Familiarity with data normalization and database schema design principles.


  • Basic knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.


  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.


Preferred:

  • Experience with database management tools and utilities.


  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.


  • Knowledge of indexing and performance tuning techniques.


  • Exposure to cloud-based database solutions (AWS RDS, Google Cloud Spanner, etc.).


  • Understanding of version control systems like Git.
Additional Requirements
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.


  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js (any one is a plus).


  • Knowledge of back-end technologies like Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), or PHP.


  • Familiarity with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.


  • Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and version control systems like Git.


  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
