• Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts and incidents across systems.

• Support the team in identifying and responding to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and help in the patching of security flaws.

• Help with the configuration and management of security tools and systems (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems).

• Assist with security audits and compliance checks to ensure best practices are followed.

• Participate in incident response efforts and document findings.

• Work with the team to improve security policies and incident response plans.

• Perform research on emerging cybersecurity trends, tools, and techniques.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including encryption, firewalls, and network security.

• Familiarity with security tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, Metasploit, or similar.

• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and networking protocols.

• Understanding of risk management, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to learn and stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with common programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

• Knowledge of web application security (OWASP Top 10).

• Exposure to SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK Stack) or endpoint detection tools.

• Understanding of ethical hacking and penetration testing methodologies.

• Awareness of industry security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).

• Basic understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js (any one is a plus).

• Knowledge of back-end technologies like Node.js, Python (Django/Flask), or PHP.

• Familiarity with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and version control systems like Git.

• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
